LUTHANDO WATER is a brand owned by Timcee Beverages, a division of TIMCEE GROUP (PTY) ltd. Upon discovering that so many foods in our modern diet are acidic and generally harmful to our bodies, we instantly saw the need and importance of an alkaline lifestyle. With this in mind, our team of experts set out to research on the vast benefits of living with a healthy alkaline body. The objective was to find a solution to reverse the damaging effects caused by an inevitable modern diet that comprises of sugary drinks, alcohol, and genetically modified foods among others. As it is a known fact that the average human body is made up of 50% to 60% water, the most efficient way to have a balanced alkalinity in the body would be through drinking good quality, clean water with a naturally well maintained neutral pH level. With all the damage we cause to our internal bodies, the least we could do is to give it some love. That’s when the idea of Luthando Natural Spring Water was born.
Except for other spring water brands that are bottled at source, more than 90% of bottled water brands available in South Africa have been tested by our team of experts to have a pH level that is in most cases even lower than 5. This was a shocking result. In that regard, Luthando Water had to be different and very special. We went around most South African natural springs and right there, in the Craddle of Humankind, we found the best Natural Spring Water from the Sterkfontein Caves. It had a neutral pH and a very unique natural silky smooth taste that we wouldn’t compare to any other springs. Once we were happy with the final result, we knew we had found the type of water that would give back to our bodies, the LOVE that they deserve. LUTHANDO NATURAL SPRING WATER was officially launched.
